‘공간정보공학‘이란, 인간 활동이 미칠 수 있는 모든 영역의 자연, 인공물의 위치와 속성 정보를 수집, 저장, 가공, 분석, 표현하는 학문이다.

Spatial Informatics is an interdisciplinary field that focuses on the collection, analysis, management, visualization, and application of spatial data, which represents the position, attributes, and relationships of objects in space.

♦ “원격탐사”란?

‘원격탐사‘란 대상물과의 물리적인 접촉 없이 위성, 항공기, 드론 등과 같은 플랫폼에 탑재된 센서를 이용하여 지구환경에 대한 공간정보를 취득하고, 이를 해석하는 연구분야이다.

♦ What is “Remote Sensing”?

‘Remote sensing‘ is a field of study that involves acquiring spatial information about the Earth’s environment using sensors mounted on platforms such as satellites, aircraft, and drones, without physical contact with the target object, and interpreting the data obtained.
